History

First mentioned (as Molvotino ) in the XV century ; in 1610 it is referred to as the possession of the Kolomnins (later - the Village and many others). The modern name was established by the middle of the XVIII century . In the XIX century - the possession of the Tyutchevs , Yakovlevs; entered the parish of Rechitsa .

In the XVII - XVIII centuries. was part of the Podgorodnogo camp of the Bryansk district ; from 1861 to 1929 in the Ovstugsky volost of Bryansk (from 1921 - Bezhitsky ) district. From 1929 in the Zhiryatinsky district , at the temporary abolition of which ( 1957 ) it entered the Bryansk region.

Until 1954 - the center of the Molotinsky Village Council.
