Alexander Nikolayevich Krylov ( German: Krylov, Alexander ; born July 1, 1969 ) is a Russian social philosopher and sociologist , journalist , editor-in-chief of the West-Ost-Report scientific journal, director of the Berlin West-Ost Institute. Lives and works in Russia and Germany.

Biographical information
He graduated from the History Department of the ChSPU with a degree in History and Socio-Economic Disciplines (1993), studied psychology at the Department of Social Work of Moscow State University (1993-1995). He graduated from the MSLU aspirator with a degree in social philosophy (1998), courses of philosophy teachers at Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov (1998-1999), defended his thesis on "The problem of human nature in the Russian psychoanalytic tradition" at Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosova (1999). In 2001, he confirmed his Ph.D. degree at the Saxon Ministry of Education and Culture (Germany, 2001).
He worked as a history teacher, journalist, department head, public relations specialist at the Children of Russia Foundation (1993-1998), lecturer, deputy dean of the Department of Economics and Management of the National Institute of Business (1998-2000), coordinator of international projects, teacher and researcher Institute of World Economy and International Management, University of Bremen , professor and director of the institute at the University of Management and Communications (Berlin-Potsdam, 2008-2010). Since 1998 he has been teaching the courses “ Communication Management ”, “Corporate Communications”, “Public Relations”, “Intercultural Management”, “Psychoanalysis in Management, Marketing and Advertising”, “Corporate Identity”. Since 2004, simultaneously with the main activity, she is a professor at the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship of the National Institute of Business . Since 2008, he has been director of the Berlin West-Ost Institute for International Management and Image Research.

Scientific activity
Krylov A.N.'s scientific interests lie in the areas of psychoanalysis , mass and corporate communications, social and corporate identity , and management in a globalized society. One of the first to conduct a study of the philosophical and psychological content of the work of Russian psychoanalysts (in Moscow and Vienna, 1995-1998) and introduced the concept of “Russian psychoanalytic tradition” (1998). He used the ideas of psychoanalysis in the study of social and corporate communications. He was the first in Russia to begin a study of corporate identity problems and published the first Russian-language book on these issues (2004). According to A. N. Krylov, corporate identity is not only and not so much a form of external difference (corporate identity), but a complex of elements that provide a socio-psychological identification of a person, product or organization. The most important elements of corporate identity are corporate philosophy, corporate behavior, corporate culture and corporate design.
In the monograph “The Evolution of Identities” (2010), A. N. Krylov proposed a concept according to which a person’s identity is a set of social identities (national, professional, religious, etc.) that reflect the state of society and transform in the development of the historical process. Traditional identities in a post-industrial society are increasingly playing a dominant role, giving way to new identities. In the monograph “Religious Identity” (2012) showed that religious identity is one of the first forms of human identity. In his work on corporate communications, a special role is given to transparency, social responsibility and ethics, which, according to A. N. Krylov, are the most important difference between public relations and marketing.
