Kinloch Castle ( English Kinloch Castle , Gaelic. Caisteal Cheann Locha ) - a Scottish castle, which is located on the island of Ram , in Scotland . It was built as the private residence of Sir George Ballou, a textile tycoon from Lancashire , whose father acquired the island to build his summer residence on it. Construction began in 1897 and was completed in 1900 . [one]

Currently, the castle is managed by the Scottish Natural Heritage State Corporation and is additionally funded by the Kinloch Castle Friends Association , founded in 1996 . [2]
The plot at the back of the castle is a hotel for visitors to the island. The cost of a room at the beginning of the XXI century began at 14 pounds. The hotel area is separated from the rest of the castle.
The castle’s collection contains Orchestrion, a mechanical musical device hidden under a staircase, a collection of gifts from the Emperor of Japan and a collection of “soft pornographic art”.
