History
The city suffered greatly during both World Wars, largely due to the location on its territory of the airfield, which was an important strategic object, and, accordingly, subjected to massive shelling and bombing. After the Second World War, a memorial dedicated to the memory of the soldiers of the Allied forces was erected in the city. Currently, the city has an aeronautics institute and an aerobatics school.
