Def Squad is an American hip-hop supergroup formed in 1993 after the breakup of another supergroup, Hit Squad, due to disagreements between EPMD members Eric Sormon and Parrish Smith . Def Squad includes Erick Sermon , Redman and Keith Murray .

In 1998, the band released their only album, El Niño , which reached number 2 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Top R & B / Hip Hop Albums in Billboard, an American magazine. The album was certified in the USA as " gold " on July 29, 1998. His lead single, “Full Cooperation,” reached number 51 on the Hot R & B / Hip-Hop Songs chart .
The group is also known for its remake of Ruger's Delight by Sugarhill Gang .
