Coaching career
In June 2009, he was appointed head coach of the Catania club. The agreement with the 38-year-old specialist was designed for two years. Atzori succeeded Walter Dzengu , who led Palermo , on the Catania coaching bridge.
On June 16, 2011 at 13:30 he was introduced to the press as the head coach of the Sampdoria club [1] . On November 13, he resigned as a team mentor. [2]
