Biography
Fung Poupou was born on October 30, 1954 in Sandakan ( British North Borneo ) and was adopted [7] by the fifth child in the family of a Cantonese-speaking director and character actor Feng Feng and actresses and singers Chun Syutin. Pupou’s childhood passed in the homeland of his adoptive father in Zhongshan (Guangdong).
Most of the family was involved in cinema; Of the 11 native and adopted children of the director, in addition to Poupow, three more were widely known - the eldest daughter Fun Soupou (actress) and sons Fun Hakyon (stuntman, director, director and actor in many " kungfu films ", often in negative roles) and Fun Katlun (producer and screenwriter).
The first filming of Fun Poupow took place in 1956 in the film Little Sweetheart ( Chinese trade. 小 冤家 ), when she was no more than 3 years old. A few years later, the girl was already actively acting as a recognized young actress, having acted only in a "record" year 1961 in more than 30 films [2] [3] . In the same 1961, the famous actress Linda Lin Dai became her godmother . From the age of 11, Fun Poupou also occasionally acted in films on putonghua , in particular, she played one of the main roles in the first color films of the wuxi genre (trilogy of 1965-1967 based on the plot of the Red Lotus Monastery). Subsequently, the girl also starred a lot in this genre, including in a large number of "male" roles.
In the wake of the daughter’s popularity, in 1961 or 1962 (according to various sources), Feng Feng founded “her own” film production company Bo Fung ( cant. Trade. 寶峰 影業 公司 , yutphin : Bou Fung Jingjip Gungsi ) [7] a dozen films [8] .
In 1970-1971, a young actress, tired of the "conveyor" of filming, decides to break with the cinema and leaves for the UK to get an education in design. Returning a few years later, she began to work as a designer, but did not have commercial success, and as a result she began to build her on-screen career again as an adult actress, this time not only on a large, but also on a television screen - her first work with ATV refers to 1976.
On June 28, 1977, she married for the first time, having given birth to two sons in this marriage (in 1981 and 1983), with the eldest of whom she took part in the social advertising campaign of the Hong Kong Family Planning Association under the motto " Two is enough ." In 1986, the marriage broke up, and due to employment on the set and acting lifestyle, the actress at that time was not able to retain the custody of the children (she later reunited with her already raised sons).
In 1997, Fun Poupou remarried a renowned Malaysian architect, Yun Siuchuen. Recent years have been constantly moving between Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur [9] .
At the end of 2010, she moved to Penang Island, which she had known from her youth and planned to write memoirs [9] , but she had not yet begun to do this in June 2015 [10] .
Since 2014, she again became active in the cinema, starring, in particular, in the main roles of the full-length family film Wonder Mama by Clifton Coe [11] and the short drama Celia King-Lee LilyMoon [12] . In addition, in 2014, the Sino-Malaysian media reported on the intention of the filmmaker to make a directorial debut, filming a film about actress Ruan Lingyu .

Filmography
The Great Devotion (1960)
The full filmography of Fun Poupow includes, according to various sources, from 153 [16] to 240 films [9] , of which at least 80 were shot before she reached 10 years of age (in the actress herself in childhood, filming was primarily associated with difficult work not of her own choice, therefore, most of her films of those years she herself did not watch or watched closer to the end of her career, “finally reconciling with her past” [9] ), no less than 125 - until adulthood. Returning to filming in adulthood, the actress continued to work at a serious dramatic level, also creating a number of memorable images.
The actress’s active film career stopped in the late 1990s, since then she has mainly appeared in cameo roles in comedy films, however, she doesn’t exclude her return to serious shootings. In 2014-2015, she starred in the films Wonder Mama and LilyMoon , and also played one of the supporting roles of the thriller Daughter .
Her roles in film and television include a number of semi-legendary and historical figures such as Empresses Fu Zhen and Wu Zetian , classical beauties of China Yang Guifei and Xi Shi , as well as the son of female commander Mu Guiying, . The latter, as a travesty role, is by no means an exception in the career of an actress, since even in her youth (in the 1960s), actively acting in films of the usa genre, she played male (teenage) characters in no less than 26 films, including such well-known characters of Buddhist and Taoist mythology as Chenxiang, Red Boy and Netzha .

Fun Poupow as a movie image
The references in the early image of the actress child were used several times in the 1990s Cantonese-language Hong Kong cinema. In particular, in the film Yesteryou, Yesterme, Yesterday (1993), where the adult Fun Poupou played the mother of the main teenage hero, the latter recalls the actress in a dream, where he dreams of an episode from one of her films of the early 1960s.
In addition, a character named Fun Poupou or just Poupou in the 1993-1996 films was played several times by the actress Annabelle Lee, a child in those years (Lei Hyutong, 李曉彤 )
