Biography
Was married to the deceit of Ivan Ivanovich Godunov even before the disgrace of the Romanovs (until 1601). After the accession of Godunov, the only one of the Romanovs, as a relative, was spared by Tsar Boris and was not disgraced [1] . Her husband, deceased from 1603, Ivan Ivanovich Godunov, "was killed in Koluga from a thief in 1610. "
In the "Boyars list" (in the XX part of the "Russian Vivliofika" by N. I. Novikov), it is told about its end:
βMikhail Buturlin, having gathered with thieves, and came under the city of Kaluga, and started with attacks. Ivan Ivanovich Godunov was sitting in that city, Irina Nikitichna Romanov and Fedor Nikitichβs sister were behind him. Yeghda, however, is the city of Ivan Godunov who has taken and the boyar from the tower of the overthrow, many people are more posekosh, and their estates are plundered. But still boyar Ivan Godunov is alive at a speed, and the speed of Mikhail Buturlin is announced about him. He led him to the Oka River and put him in the water; Always bringing and plunging it into the water, then he held onto the edge of the plow. Michael, having taken out his saber and cut off his hand and drown him in the water. And he died martyrly, but didnβt attach to Advisor Rastrigin. After 1613
At the court of his nephew, Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich, the widow, of course, took pride of place. Her name is mentioned at palace celebrations (in the rank of the 2nd wedding of Mikhail Fedorovich, in connection with the birth and baptism of the future Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich: Irina carried him to the font and was the godmother) [2] .
Later, the court noblewoman Irina Nikitichna Godunova was mentioned as the first mother of Tsarevich Alexei Mikhailovich in 1630 (the second mother was Ulyana Stepanovna Sobakina). Prior to this, the first daughter of Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich (or in honor of the mother of Tsarina Evdokia Streshneva) was baptized in her honor.
The last contribution to the Ipatiev Monastery, Irina made in 1627, five years before her death. In the description of the Moscow Novospassky Monastery (ancestral tomb of the Romanovs), the day and circumstances of her death are mentioned. Its contributions to the monastery were made in 1641 by a brother, I. N. Romanov, and in 1645, by his nephew Nikita Ivanovich Romanov [2] .
Holdings
- Spas-Mikhnevo became the possession of Irina Nikitichna after the death of her husband, Ivan Ivanovich Godunov. After it, the owners were children: Fedor, Ivan and Stepan Ivanovich Godunovs [3] .
- Volynskoye - in 1625, its owner, Prince Lobanov, was sent to the voivodship in Sviyazhsk, where he died in 1629. After his death, the Local Order divided the estate in accordance with the decree of the tsar and the Duma: Irina Nikitichna Godunova went to the wastelands with wastelands (at the direction of her brother Filaret). After the death of Irina Godunova in 1639, Volynskoe was transferred to the estate of the Kasimov prince Seyid Burhan Araslanovich [4] .
