Content

Geography

The settlement is located in the western part of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky district, between the cities of Pavlovsky Posad and Orekhovo-Zuevo , on the banks of the Vyrka river, a tributary of the Klyazma river. The area of ​​the municipality is 6208 ha [3] .

History

The municipality, the rural settlement of Demikhovskoye within the existing borders, was formed in 2005 on the basis of the law of the Moscow Region “On the Status and Borders of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky Municipal District and the newly formed municipal formations” [2] . Previously, this territory was part of the Zuevsky volost of the Bogorodsky district , then - in the Fedorovsky volost of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky district .
