Palenka is a village in the Kazan region of the Tyumen region as part of the Afonkinsky rural settlement 34 km south of the village of Kazanskoe , 4 km south of the village of Afonkino near the state border of Russia with Kazakhstan . The population is 76 people ( 2006 ), the number of households is 30 [3] .

The village was founded in the middle of the 19th century and was first mentioned in connection with the relocation of Cossacks from the Mglin district of the Chernigov province to the Ilyinsky volost in 1895 . The name of the village comes from the name of the locality - Palenaya Griva, or Palenka - a pasture where peasants from Afonkino burned dry grass and reeds every spring (arranged "fallen") along the shores of Lake Povarino and in wetlands [4] .

Palenka is surrounded by old lake , meadows (including swampy) and sedge-reed marshes [5] .
Palenka is connected with the villages of Viktorovka , Novogeorgievka , villages Afonkino , Ilyinka and Kazan highway, the bus daily runs to the administrative center of the district.
The territory of the village of Palenki is included in the Ishim deanery of the Tobolsk-Tyumen diocese [7] .
