Geographical position
Hanselin is located 60 km southeast of Metz . Neighboring communes: Torshville in the north, Lor and Enswiller in the east, Lostrof in the south, Domnon-le-Dieuze in the southwest, Molren in the northwest.
History
- The commune was part of the duchy of Lorraine and belonged to the lords de Fenetrange, who subsequently transferred it to the colleges of neighboring Münster.
- Hanselin was completely devastated during the Thirty Years War and in 1650 there was not a single resident in it.
