Career

From the age of six, Kienzl played football at the Graz Student Support Society. In 1998, he joined the Sturm youth team.

He made his debut in the Austrian Championship under Ivica Oshima on April 7, 2002 in a guest match with the Salzburg Wustenroth (Sturm won 5: 3). Being only a reserve player of Sturm, at the dawn of his football career he mainly played for the amateur club team, where he served as captain .
