Yuri Vladimirovich Olennikov (born October 4, 1962) is a Russian theater and film actor.

Biography
After graduating from a comprehensive school, Yuri Vladimirovich Olennikov entered the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinema, from which he graduated in 1984. After graduating from LGITMiK, he worked as an actor in various theaters. In 1989 he entered the correspondence directing department of the Schukin School (workshop of E. Simonov). In 2000, he entered the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors in the workshop of Alexei German and Svetlana Karmalita. After graduating from higher education, he practiced on the set of the film “It is Hard to Be a God” (second director).
In parallel with training in courses, he worked in the theater troupe of the Satyricon Theater.
Of the actor’s works, the most famous among Yuri Vladimirovich is the role of the Soviet intelligence agent-defector Viktor Suvorov in the Polish-German film “Aquarium or the Loneliness of a Spy”, filmed based on the story of Vladimir Rezun, former GRU resident officer in Geneva, who fled to the UK in 1978. This film brought him international fame. The credits indicated as Yuri Smolsky. Also, one of the most famous roles of Yuri Olennikov was the role of an accountant in the clip of the same name of the Combination group.
In the movie, the actor made his debut in 1988: he starred in the film play "Drummer, who was not afraid of anything." He first acted as a director in 2003, having shot the short film Peterburg.
