Riga street - Kiev street, located in the historical area of Syrets in the Shevchenkovsky district . It extends from the streets of Parkovo-Syretskaya and Dorogozhitskaya to the end of the building, located next to the Syretskaya railway line.

History
It arose in the middle of the 20th century under the name 880th New . It got its modern name in 1953. One of the dead end branches from the "odd" side of Riga Street in 1955-1961 was called Riga Lane .
The streets of Academician Grekov - Maxim Berlin - Orlovsky Lane and the Vavilovy Street adjoin Riga Street.
Building and location
The odd side of the street is built up with low-rise private buildings, the even side of the building is mixed - at first high-rise buildings dominate, in the final part - low-rise.
Parks “Syretsky” and “Dubki” (“Syretskaya Grove”) adjoin Riga Street
At the end of the street there is a small equipped cemetery - the burial place of German prisoners of war.
