The culture of South Sudan embraces religion, languages, ethnic groups, and nutritional traditions of the peoples of South Sudan .

Ethnicities
The main group of the population consists of representatives of the Nilotic peoples , the most numerous of which are Dinka , Nuer , Azande , Bari and Shilluk [1] .
Language
The official language of the country is English , although most of the population does not know it and Arabic remains the language of interethnic communication. Most of the inhabitants of South Sudan speak many Adamab-Ubang , Nilotic , Nubian , Central Sudan and other languages and dialects, the largest of which is the Dinka language.
Religion
Most of the population of South Sudan professes either Christianity or traditional African animistic religions , [2] which during the conflict led to a clash with the Muslim North. In the southern part of the country, both pagan and Christian influences are reflected in the life of the local population, although Islam is also practiced by a small number of people.
There are Anglican parishes.

- December 25 Christmas Day off - Friday; in the southern areas where Christianity is prevalent - Sunday
