Palashbari ( Beng. পলাশবাড়ী , Eng. Palashbari ) - a city in the north of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the eponymous district . The area of the city is 6.63 km². According to the 2001 census, 14,912 people lived in the city, of which 51.85% were men, 48.15% were women, respectively. The population density was 2249 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 39.6% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
