Biral ( Beng. বিরল , English Biral ) is a city in the north of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the eponymous sub-district . The area of the city is 11.11 km². According to the 2001 census, 9,467 people lived in the city, of which 51.75% were men, 48.25% respectively women. The population density was 852 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate of the population was 37.3% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
