Bagmara ( Beng. বাঘমারা , English Bagmara ) is a city in the north-west of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the sub-district of the same name . Located on the banks of the Fikinni River. The area of the city is 3.84 km². According to the 2001 census, 16,289 people lived in the city, of which 51.13% were men and 48.87% were women, respectively. The population density was 4242 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 40% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
