Sujanagar ( Beng. সুজানগর , Eng. Sujanagar ) is a city in the north-west of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the sub-district of the same name . The area of the city is 6.97 km². According to the 2001 census, 18,272 people lived in the city, of which 51.41% were men, 48.59% respectively women. The population density was 2622 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 36.9% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
