Pudozh Airport is the civil airport of the city of Pudozh in Karelia . The airfield (landing pad) is capable of receiving An-2 , An-28 aircraft , as well as Mi-8 helicopters and a class lower [1] . The first flight of the aircraft to Pudozh was completed on February 13, 1929 and was an ambulance - a teacher who was dying of gangrene was transported to Moscow by plane F-13 [2] . On January 25, 1934, the first test flight of the local airline chief Khromtsov took place on a Sh-2 plane to Pudozh in order to find a landing site for a new passenger line [3] . On January 19, 1934, a daily air line was opened from Petrozavodsk to Pudozh [4] . Until 1956, Pudozh Airport was located in the village of Kulgala, which caused inconvenience for passengers forced to cross the Vodla River. In 1956, a new site was built, capable of receiving Po-2, Yak-12, An-2 aircraft. In 1967, the construction of the airport began, and two years later it was put into operation. In 1971, a new artificial runway was put into operation. In 1988, flights to Petrozavodsk by An-28 aircraft began to be carried out. In the 1990s, flights were canceled, until the end of the 1990s. operated passenger flights on Mi-8 helicopters. Currently, one of the units of the State Institution of the Republic of Karelia “North-Western Base of Forest Aviation Protection” is based in Pudozh [5] . On November 18, 2011, passenger charter flights of the Mi-8 helicopter were resumed [6] [7] [8] .
