Ishwardi or Ishurdi [2] ( Beng. ঈশ্বরদী , Eng. Ishwardi ) is a city in northwestern Bangladesh , the administrative center of the same sub-district . The area of the city is 23.73 km². According to the 2001 census, 63,106 people lived in the city, of which men accounted for 51.64%, women - respectively 48.36%. The population density was 2659 people. on 1 km ². The literacy rate of the population was 51.8% (with an average of 43.1% in Bangladesh).
