Biography

Born into a peasant family. In 1955 he graduated from the History Department of the Belarusian State University . He worked at the BSU as a teacher, deputy dean of the correspondence and historical faculties (1966-1978), head of the Department of History of Belarus (1990-1994).

Scientific and educational activities

Prepared 10 candidates of science.

One of the first in the post-war period, he turned to the study of the pre-Soviet period in the history of Belarus, undertook an analysis of Russian noble and bourgeois historiography of Belarus, studied Polish historiography, and highlighted the aspect of "falsification of the history of Belarus by Belarusian bourgeois nationalists." [1] .
