Archbishop Simeon ( Czech Arcibiskup Simeon , in the world Radiva Jakovlevich , Czech. Radivoj Jakovljević ; February 12, 1926 , Prague ) - bishop of the Orthodox Church of the Czech lands and Slovakia ; from April 9, 2000 - Bishop (from February 12, 2006 - Archbishop) of Olomouc and Brno , from April 12 to December 9, 2013 - Locum Tenens of the Metropolitan Throne of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia. The Patriarchate of Constantinople for a long time considered the metropolitan throne vacant, and Simeon the locum tenens [1] .

Biography
Born February 12, 1926 in Prague . His father was a Serb, his mother a Czech.
He graduated from a real gymnasium in Prague. In 1945 he began teaching theology at Charles University .
From 1949 to 1953 he studied at the Leningrad Theological Academy .
From 1954 to 1959 - Assistant at the Department of Theology of the University of Prešov , taught the Old Testament at the Orthodox Theological Faculty.
He married on September 7, 1958 . On November 1, 1958, he was ordained deacon in Prague, and on December 25, 1958, he was ordained a priest .
From 1959 to 1998 he served in the Prince Vladimir Church in Marianske Lazne .
In 1992, she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Theology .
September 12, 1996 widowed.
On June 1, 1998, at the monastery of the Holy Martyr Gorazd in Gruba, Vrbka was tonsured a monk with the name Simeon in honor of the Serbian prince inok Monk Simeon the Myrrh-streaming .
Bishops
June 21, 1998 at the Prague Cathedral, consecrated bishop of Marianske Lazne, vicar of the Prague diocese .
On April 9, 2000 he was appointed manager of the Olomouc-Brno Diocese .
On February 12, 2006, he was elevated to the rank of archbishop .
On April 12, 2013 he was elected Locum Tenens of the Metropolitan throne of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia .
On December 9, 2013, he was relieved of his position as Locum Tenens of the Metropolitan throne of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia . The Patriarchate of Constantinople did not recognize this decision and continued to consider the metropolitan throne vacant, and Simeon the locum tenens, later changing his decision [1] .
