Stepanova, Ekaterina Andreevna

Ekaterina Andreyevna Stepanova (born September 10, 1973 , Moscow ) is a Russian political scientist , head of the group for the study of problems of peace and conflict and a leading researcher at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO RAS) [1] , doctor of political sciences (2011 ), professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2015) [2] .

Biography

Graduated with honors from the History Department of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov at the Department of Modern and Contemporary History of Western Europe and America (1995), there she received a Ph.D. in historical sciences , defending her thesis "Formation of a Modern American Model for the Regulation of Regional Conflicts (1989-1997)" (1998).

He teaches courses on conflict and terrorism at the European University in St. Petersburg (IMARES Program) and at the European University of Peace, Austria (EPU). He is a member of the board of the Center for Political Studies of Russia (PIR Center) and the editorial boards of the journals Security Index (Russia) [3] , Terrorism and Political Violence (Great Britain) [4] and International Journal of Conflict and Violence (Germany) )
