History
The team acquired professional status on July 4, 2011, having received a certificate giving the right to participate in the second league of the Ukrainian championship . Prior to this, the team performed in regional and district competitions, starting as early as the 1950s.
The football players of Bolgrad achieved their first serious success in 1964, having won bronze medals in the championship of Odessa region . In the final tournament, which took place in Odessa , the Bulgarian Temp, as the team was then called, lost only to the regional champion - the strong Odessa Taxi team, and lost to the silver medalist - Kotovskaya Zvezda only by the difference in goals scored and goals conceded.
After this, the team did not have enough stars from the sky, periodically completely disappearing from among the participants in the competitions of the strongest teams in Odessa region .
Over the years, the team bore the names: “Temp”, “Yalpug”, “SKAD-Yalpug”, “Olympus”, “SKAD-BSZ”, “Budzhak”.
In 2007, after another unsuccessful return of the team to the major league of the regional championship , football Bolgrad again disappeared from sight. And in 2011, on the initiative of the first deputy of the Bolgrad district state administration Vladimir Yusin, the SKAD-Yalpug football club was revived with the prospect of performances in the competitions of teams of masters.
On April 27, 2011, the team debuted in the Ukrainian championship among amateur groups in group 3 in a home match with Kirovograd Olimpik (2-0), finishing in which it was next to the last.
In the season 2011/12 - July 16, 2011 - SKAD-Yalpug made its debut in the competitions of the teams of masters by the match of the preliminary round of the Cup of Ukraine . The historical match was played by the Bulgarians, who were led by the ex-player of the team, and now the football and futsal referee Anatoly Dimitrov, who replaced Alexander Shcherbakov, the famous Odessa striker in the past, in this post, held in Bogaty , as the Yalpug stadium in Bulgaria »Did not meet the requirements for PFL clubs. In their debut match in professional football, “SKAD-Yalpug” lost to “Skala” 1: 2 (the first “professional” goal of Bulgarians in the account of Konstantin Oleynik) and dropped out of the Ukraine-2011/12 Cup.
On April 4, 2012, it was announced that SKAD-Yalpug SOK Bolgrad would cease participation in the All-Ukrainian football competition among PFL club teams in the 2011/2012 season. The reason was the lack of funding for the club, which led to the inability of the team to continue to participate in competitions.
