Biography
Born October 1, 1946 in Novosibirsk . After graduating from a secondary school in Kemerovo in 1964, he entered the Penza plant-technical college (now the Penza Technological Institute) at the VEM plant (Computing Electronic Machines) for the specialty "Mathematical and calculating-decisive devices and devices". Then he studied at the Kuzbass Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Automation and Electrification of Mining Works.
In 1971 he entered the graduate school in the department of automation of production processes in the Kuzbass Polytechnic Institute . In 1975 he defended his thesis on the topic “Study of conditions for the effective use of frequency-controlled electric drive of mining machines” in the specialty 05.13.07 - “Automatic control of technological processes”.
In 1996, in the Council of the Ural Mining and Geological Academy ( Yekaterinburg ), he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic “Dynamic processes of electromechanical systems of mining machines in the starting and stopping modes” [2] in the specialty 05.09.03 - “Electrotechnical complexes and systems, including management and regulation.

- Management of the state of electromechanical systems of mining machines in order to improve their dynamic loading, in particular, the use of executive electric machines of multi-motor drive of mining machines as formers of power control actions on mechanical transmission devices.
- Improving calculation methods for assessing the internal state of mechanical transmission devices of mining machine drives.
- Development of mathematical models describing the joint operation of several electromechanical energy converters in a common power supply network taking into account the peculiarities of dynamic phenomena in electromechanical complexes of mining machines for studying the limiting modes of their operation, including emergency modes.
- Development of the basics of building high-performance electrical systems for automated assessment of the parameters and characteristics of electrical machines.
