Beginning of a military career
Born March 8, 1856. Religion Mohammedan . He entered the service on August 23, 1873, with a rank cadet at the Pavlovsk Military School , then he studied at the Mikhailovsky Artillery School . April 16, 1878 was released as second lieutenant to the 21st artillery brigade. December 18 of the same year promoted to lieutenant .
Military Administration
In January 1882 he was appointed acting officer of the Chaldyr bailiff with a state of field light artillery. Since February 6 of the same year, the Khorosan bailiff. Since March 13, the Chaldyrsky bailiff. May 15, 1883 promoted to headquarters captain . On July 7, he was appointed head of the Saganlug site of the Kars district .
From December 19, 1883, a junior assistant, and from November 8, 1884, a senior assistant to the head of the Kars district. August 30, 1884 promoted to captain . In 1889 he was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav of the 3rd degree. March 2, 1892 promoted to lieutenant colonel . In 1894 he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 3rd degree, and in 1895 he received the Order of St. Stanislav of the 2nd degree.
Since March 9, 1896, the head of the Ardagan district . In 1898 he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 2nd degree. Since March 4, 1899, the head of the Kagizman district .
December 6, 1901 promoted to colonel . In 1904 he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th degree. May 26, 1908 assistant to the military governor of the Kars region . December 6, 1908 promoted to major general [1] .
In 1911 he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 3rd degree.
On July 14, 1913, by a supreme order, Major General Gashimbekov was dismissed from service for the disease by a lieutenant general , with a uniform and pension. Since that time, an honorary justice of the peace [2] .
World War I
On June 21, 1916, he was reinstated by the highest order to the former rank of Major General with the appointment of the commander of the 3rd Caucasian convoy brigade and enlisted in the army infantry [3] [4] .
ADR Service
After the proclamation of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, General Gashimbekov was appointed governor of Zakatala in early 1919. On March 16, 1919, by a government decree, he was appointed Governor-General of South-West Azerbaijan [5] .
Since mid-1919, General Gashimbekov served in the ADR army as head of the Quartermaster’s Office [6] [7] . He was dismissed from service due to illness on February 19, 1920.
