Education
In 1981 he graduated from Ivan Franko Lviv National University, profession - organization of mechanized processing of economic information, engineer-economist. PhD in Economics since 1989, Associate Professor.
Labor
In 1981-1985 - Secretary of the Komsomol Committee of the Lviv University. He was a member of the CPSU and the party committee of the university. Then at the teaching work.
February 1993 - March 1995 - First Deputy General Director, General Director of the Lviv Institute of Management.
April 1994 - April 1997 - Head of the Advisory Group of the First Prime Minister Pynzenyk.
June 1997 - February 2000 and from August 2001 to April 2002 - Director of the Institute for Reforms, Kiev.
February 2000 - May 2000 - Advisor to the Prime Minister V. Yushchenko, Deputy Head of the Prime Minister’s Service.
In April 2002, he was elected People's Deputy of Ukraine from the Our Ukraine bloc, number 43 on the list.
After the victory of V. Yushchenko in the presidential election, he was appointed first deputy to the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine, assigned 1 rank of civil servant since June 2005. It remains one of the few comrades-in-arms who were always with the president during numerous personnel shifts.
In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he was deputy head of the electoral headquarters of the Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense bloc.
In 2006, Ivan Vasyunyk took the 44th position in the "Top 100" of the most influential Ukrainian magazines "Correspondent".
In 2007, Ivan Vasilievich took 63rd place in the Top 100 ranking of the most influential Ukrainian magazines Korrespondent.
From December 18, 2007 to March 11, 2010 he was deputy prime minister in the second government of Yulia Tymoshenko.
