Dighalia ( Beng. দিঘলিয়া , English Dighalia ) is a city in the south-west of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the sub-district of the same name . The area of the city is 15.51 km². According to the 2001 census, 28,068 people lived in the city. The population density was 1810 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 58% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
