Abhaynagar ( Beng. অভয়নগর , English Abhaynagar ) - a city in the west of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the eponymous sub-district . The area of the city is 10.34 km². According to the 2001 census, 28 597 people lived in the city, of which 53.67% were men and 46.33% were women. The population density was 1895 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 39% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
