Nalitabari ( Beng. নালিতাবাড়ি , Eng. Nalitabari ) is a city in the north of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the sub-district of the same name . The area of the city is 15.87 km². According to the 2001 census, 25,481 people lived in the city, of which 51.70% were men and 48.30% were women, respectively. The population density was 1606 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 37.5% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
