Ferrari ff

Ferrari FF (FF means “Ferrari Four,” that is, four seats and four driving wheels) is a Gran Turismo class car shown by Ferrari on January 21, 2011. Its official presentation was held March 1, 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show . In this model, there are two fundamentally new features for cars manufactured in Maranello - this is the first Ferrari all-wheel drive and its first hatchback supercar. Its developers from the body shop Carrozzeria Pininfarina SpA chose for the three-door all-wheel drive supercar a currently rare modification of the station wagon called Shooting Break (literally - “hunting halt”). Such a body provides the convenience of transforming the interior with a stylish appearance.

Ferrari FF replaced the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti in the company's lineup. The maximum speed of the FF is 335 km / h, from zero to 100 km / h the car accelerates in 3.7 seconds. Ferrari positions FF as the fastest four-wheel drive car in the world. [1] The price of FF is 300,000 USD [2] .

By the very name of the model, FF, Ferrari makes it clear that this car is more practical than its predecessor, the 612 Scaglietti. Its all-wheel drive system allows you to drive more confidently in difficult weather conditions, such as rain and snow, and four places are already enough to consider the FF a utilitarian car.

Engine

The Ferrari FF has the largest engine ever produced by the company - an atmospheric (naturally aspirated) V12 with a cylinder angle of 65 ° with a working volume of 6.3 liters. This unit produces a capacity of 660 liters. from. (485.4 kW) at 8000 rpm and a torque of 683 Nm at 6000 rpm.

Transmission

The FF is equipped with a DCT 7-speed dual-clutch DCT robotic gearbox similar to the ones found on the Ferrari California and Ferrari 458 Italia.

AWD system

The new all-wheel drive system developed and patented by Ferrari is called 4RM . It is 50% lighter than a conventional similar system, and best transmits torque to each of the four wheels. It acts only when the drive mode switch is set to Comfort or Snow, while the rest of the time the car remains traditionally rear-wheel drive.

Appearance

Ferrari FF is designed so that you can immediately recognize the modern Ferrari unmistakably in it. Its headlamps are almost identical to the Ferrari 458 Italia headlamps. There are also four tailpipes, like the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano , and a large oval grille. Related to the model 458 can be seen in the design of the lower skirts of the sidewalls of the body. The overall design of the model corresponds to the spirit of the famous 1962 supercar Ferrari 250 GT Drogo .

Interior

The combination of hatchback and station wagon designs coupled with collapsible rear seats makes it possible to change the boot volume in the range from 450 to 800 liters.
