Gosairhat ( Beng. গোসাইরহাট , Eng. Gosairhat ) is a city in the central part of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the homonymous subdistrict . The area of the city is 4.33 km². According to the 2001 census, 8313 people lived in the city, of which 51.06% were men, 48.94% were women. The population density was 1920 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 45% (compared with an average of Bangladesh of 43.1%).
