Symbols
The flag was compiled on the basis of the coat of arms of the municipality Ligovka-Yamskaya municipal district, in accordance with the traditions and rules of vexillology and reflects historical, cultural, socio-economic, national and other local traditions.
The Old Russian Golden Helmet recalls toponyms, places and sights on the territory of the Ligovka-Yamskaya district, dedicated to the Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky and associated with his memory - Alexander Nevsky Monastery , Alexander Nevsky Square, Alexander Nevsky Square metro station, Alexander Nevsky Bridge .
The silver harness decorated with black reminds of the name of the district - Ligovka-Yamskaya, of the Yamsky settlements, which were located in the XVIII century in the area of the current Ligovsky Prospect . The surroundings of Ligovsky Prospekt were then for a very long time a “cabby district”. In addition, the outlines of the boundaries of the Ligovka-Yamskaya municipality resemble an arc in shape, the “shoulders” of which are Nevsky and Ligovsky Prospects, and the top is Moskovsky Station on Vosstaniya Square .
