Raipura ( Beng. রায়পুরা , Eng. Raipura ) is a city in the central part of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the eponymous district . The area of the city is 13.5 km². According to the 2001 census, 29,961 people lived in the city, of which 51.49% were men and 48.51% were women, respectively. The population density was 2219 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 33.4% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
