Belabo ( Beng. বেলাব , Eng. Belabo ) is a city in the central part of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the sub-district of the same name . The area of the city is 9.24 km². According to the 2001 census, 15,815 people lived in the city, of which 52.03% were men and 47.97% were women. The population density was 1711 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate of the population was 27.7% (with an average of Bangladesh of 43.1%).
