Rupganj ( Beng. রূপগঞ্জ , English Rupganj ) - a city in the central part of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the eponymous sub-district . The area of the city is 9.03 km². According to the 2001 census, 22,749 people lived in the city, of which 53.66% were men and 46.34% were women. The population density was 2519 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 41.5% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
