Slovak Military Ordinary ( Slovak Vojenský rímskokatolícky ordinariát ) is the Roman Catholic Church’s military ordinance operating in Slovakia . The military ordinate of Slovakia, reporting directly to the Holy See , provides pastoral care for the soldiers of the Slovak army and their families. The cathedral of the Slovak military ordinate is the church of St. Sebastian in Bratislava.

History
November 26, 2002 in the Vatican, the Slovak President Rudolf Schuster and Cardinal Angelo Sodano signed a preliminary agreement on the establishment of a military ordinate in Slovakia.
On January 20, 2003, Pope John Paul II issued the Bull Spiritalem progressionem, which was established by the Slovak Military Ordinary. The military ordinate of Slovakia, having the structure of an independent diocese, began to operate in March 2003.
Until 2009, the cathedral of the military ordinar of Slovakia was the church of Saints John de Mat and Felix Valois .
