Rest (in old times also Pakony ) - a village in the Gordeevsky district of the Bryansk region , as part of the Gordeevsky rural settlement . It is located 7 km south of the village of Gordeevka , on the right bank of the Vetka River (the sleeve of Iputi ). The population is 177 people ( 2010 ).

History
It has been mentioned since the middle of the 17th century as the possession of the Old-Dubu magistrate , since 1736 - in the possession of the Shiraev (the Cossack population did not have).
Until 1781, it was part of the New Town Hundred Starodubsky Regiment ; from 1782 to 1921 in Surazh district (from 1861 - as part of the Gordeevsky volost ); in 1921 - 1929 in Klintsovsky district (the same volost). At the end of the 19th century , a literacy school was opened.
Since 1929, in the Gordeevsky district , and during its temporary disbandment ( 1963 - 1985 ) - in the Klintsovsky district . Until 1954 - the center of the Pokonyansky Village Council; in 1954 - 1960 and 1986 - 2005 in Zavodo-Koretsky, in 1960 - 1986 in the Gordeevsky village council.
