Since1889 is a Japanese metal band from Niigata. They are distinguished by gloomy, rather heavy music in combination with pleasant hoarse vocals. The first members of the group included such members: 菅原 広 太 (Sugawara Kouta), 智 (Tomokazu), 亮 (Ryo), 高 広 (Takahiro) and 宏基 (Hiroki).

At the beginning of their career, their track FAKE was included in Resident of delusion VA (2005.07.27). Later, the song HERO was also included in one of the collections of Relative + Heart VA (2005.12.28). Then the group launched the mini-album Gaula (2006.06.01), but after the recording they failed, the bass player 高 広 (Takahiro) left the group and in early 2007 the guitarist 亮 (Ryo) left the group, who later joined the band √eight .
At the end of the year, new participants replaced the old ones: Setsu, Takushi and Sigma. Gathering their strength, the group released two CDs with esCargot and THE 「C」 BLOOD MANIFEST live recordings at once.
In 2008, releasing a new mini-album, DIABOLOS, the group again failed, Takushi and bass player Sigma left. Having decided that there would be no bass players (except for session ones) in the group, Takushi replaced the new Yoshiatsu guitarist in 2009. In the same 2008th year they released the single Dear ... Raila and the last mini-album ENEMY.
On August 8, 2009, the band handed out flyers with a message that Since1889 was breaking up, without any explanation of the reasons for this decision. Their latest performance, entitled To All The People Who Exist, took place on August 8 at Meguro Rockmaykan.
Since then, vocalist 菅原 広 太 (Kouta) and guitarist Setsu have been playing together ex-guitarist 智 (Tomokazu) in the Sasori session band.
Yoshiatsu created Crazy ★ shampoo , and then transferred to DADAROMA .
