Pakundiya ( Beng. পাকুনদিয়া , English. Pakundia ) - a city in the east of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the same sub-district . The area of the city is 5.02 km². According to the 2001 census, 4,773 people lived in the city, of which men accounted for 52.99%, women - respectively 47.01%. The literacy rate of the population was 42.3% (with an average of 43.1% in Bangladesh).
