Story
The sun of the home planet of the Green Lanterns Oa, becomes the gateway to Krona, the evil tyrant from the Anti-material Universe, who in the past sought to destroy all living things. As a precaution, the Guardians of the Universe begin to evacuate from Oa all valuable artifacts, such as the Central Battery. Standing in line to charge his ring from the Battery, the Green Lantern Corps rookie Arisia Rrab talks to Hal Jordan and expresses her uncertainty about the Green Lantern, which Hal tells her about the First Lantern.
First Lantern
The first four lanterns sent by the Guardians to stop the invasion of the warlike alien race. Among them is Avra, the ordinary clerk whom the ring chose at the last moment. During the battle, one of the lanterns dies, three hiding on an asteroid. They decide to retreat, because the forces are not equal, but Avra does not want to give up. In the battle with the enemy fleet, he manages to create the first construction from green light - the sword. The rest of the lanterns, inspired by his example, destroy the invaders. It is further shown that the ring of Avra changed many carriers, and in the end went to Abin Sur , and then Hal Jordan.
Kilovog
The story of the beginning of the path of Kilovog as a Green Lantern. He has just entered the Corps and is worried about his pregnant wife, whom he left on his home planet. Having fallen under the command of Sergeant Digan, Kilovog with a group of recruits (among whom there is also another well-known member of the corps, Tomar-Re ), goes on a training course, which includes lifting from the vent of an erupting volcano and survival in quicksand - all without rings . Deegan refers to newcomers with undisguised contempt, which infuriates Kilovog. The sergeant and the rookie take off the rings and start a fight, but at the height of the battle they receive a message - the nearest city is attacked. Deegan returns the rings to the newcomers, ordering them to guard the civilian population until he deals with the invaders. After the explosion caused by the destruction of the laser gun, the sergeant falls unconscious, and the remaining army of the enemy is preparing to finish him off. Kilovog comes to the rescue, but it is too late - Degan dies in his arms, with the last words paying tribute to his courage and stamina. As shown below, Kilovog adopted the habits and some of Deegan's expressions when he himself became an instructor.
Lira
Gets the Green Lantern Ring during an enemy raid on his home planet. After some time, her planet, for some unknown reason, was outlawed for genocide , and Lyra was sent there to restore order. Arriving at home, she kills her stepmother and older brother, forces her own father to commit suicide and returns back with a sense of accomplishment.
Much
Bolfung the Relentless - the most powerful warrior of the galaxy, is constantly looking for adventure and worthy enemies. He is challenged by Kloba Wad, a four-handed titan golem that Bolfunga easily defeats. As a final taunt, Klob tells him about Mogo , the greatest warrior who has never lost. Bolfunga immediately goes in search, landing on the planet indicated to him. Not finding any traces of civilization there, he launches search drones, and follows them, cutting through the impassable jungle. After months of searching, Bolfung despairs, and resorts to the last plan - he covers the planet with a network of bombs that simultaneously explode, hoping so to smoke Mygo from the shelter. However, it turns out that Mogo is the planet, a giant living organism that instantly heals itself. Bolfunga is trying to escape, but Mogo destroys his ship in the atmosphere.
Abin Sur
Atroin Surat is attacked by Atrocytus - the enemy of the Keepers of the Universe. The charge of the ring is almost exhausted, and the battery of power is at the enemy. Sinestro comes to the rescue at the last moment, Atrocytus in desperation tries to destroy the battery, almost blowing up the city. Sinestro and Abin still stop him, and escort him to prison on the planet Ismolt. Sinestro says that Atrocytus is a member of the Five Inversions, and has been imprisoned for several centuries, and is also supposedly able to see the future. On the way, friends talk about fate - Abin is sure that she brought them together, Sinestro considers this a matter of chance. Later, he absent himself, and Atrocitus begins to tell Sura about the fate of the Green Lanterns, about his death and the death of the entire corps and the ascension of the corps of Sinestro - the gang of the most notorious villains of the universe, whose strength is based on the yellow energy of fear. Abin refuses to believe, although he admits that everyone is mortal and he is not afraid of death. As history shows, Sur really died, and Atrocytus' prophecies begin to come true.
Emerald Knights
The long-standing enemy of the Keepers of the Universe - Krona - breaks out of the Antimatter universe, leading an army of Shadow Demons with him. The corps’s strength is not enough to break its resistance, and Arisia offers a way out - since Krona is a creature of antimatter, a collision with matter will destroy him. The lanterns decide to launch the planet Oa into Krona, and Mogo comes to their aid. After the victory, the temporary base of the Lanterns is located on the surface of Mogo, and the name of Aricia is now inscribed in the book of Oa.
