History

Known since ancient times (the historical name - Vseslavl , persisted until 1917, the earlier name - Izyaslavl ); It is mentioned from the XV century among the volost centers of the Smolensk principality . In the XV - XVI centuries. - village, volost center (from 1503 - Bryansk district ); the former possession of the Meat Eaters and others. In the XVII - XVIII centuries. was part of the Voronitsky parish of the Bryansk district . From 1776 to 1929 in Roslavl district of Smolensk province (from 1861 - as part of the Radichsky volost , from 1924 in the Seschensk volost ). From 1929 in the Dubrovsky district ; until 1959 in the Uzshchansky village council.
