Four small spindle-shaped muscles. Each of them starts from the radial edge of the tendon of the deep flexor of the fingers and attaches to the back surface of the base of the proximal phalanges from the index finger to the little finger. Here they are intertwined in the dorsal aponeurosis of the index, middle, ringless fingers and little finger from the side of their radial edge, rounding the heads of the metacarpal bones [1] .
Function
Bend the proximal and straighten the middle and distal phalanx II-V fingers [2] .
