Biography
Film career
Andrei Gromov was in second grade when he was selected at the Gorky Film Studio by director Ilya Frez as an understudy for starring in the children's film “ The Adventures of the Yellow Suitcase ” - the boy Petya, who was supposed to play Oleg Bulankin . However, the day before leaving for filming in Tallinn, Bulankin fell ill, and in the end, Andrei himself played Petya. But Oleg was given the surname of a circus trainer, the hero of Viktor Tikhonov .
After filming in "Adventures ..." he was immediately invited to shoot another children's television movie " Valera, Remka + ... " about the love triangle . The third and last film for the young actor was the famous film " Officers ", in which the role of Vanya Trofimov was written specifically for Andrei. After Andrei Gromov, other roles were offered, but he decided that an acting career was not for him.
After the movie
After graduation, Andrei Gromov graduated from the MGIMO faculty of international economic relations in 1986. By specialty - an international economist, candidate of economic sciences, is in diplomatic work. Since 1996, he has been serving at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation .
In 2005-2012, he worked as a senior adviser to the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations in New York . In 2014-2015, he was the chief adviser to the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for work with compatriots. In 2015-2017, he served as adviser-envoy of the Russian Embassy in Cyprus [1] . Since 2018 - Consul General of the Russian Federation in Rousse ( Bulgaria ) [1] .

Interesting Facts
- On December 9, 2013, a monument to the heroes of the film “Officers” was unveiled in Moscow on Frunze Embankment . The sculpture reproduces one of the scenes of the film - a meeting after a long separation of two comrades, the wife and grandson of one of them. The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu , People's Artist of the USSR Vasily Lanovoi and People's Artist of the RSFSR Alina Pokrovskaya, who in the Officers played the roles of Ivan Barabva and Lyubov Trofimova [2] .
