Career

Club

Pupil of the youth team "Spartak" from Orel. He made his debut in the USSR Championship in 1985, in Spartak, for which he spent more than 300 matches in his career. In 1992-1993 he played for two seasons in the Premier League of Moldova for Olimpia from the city of Balti .

In 1996 he spent the season in the First League for “Ocean” from Nakhodka. Due to financial problems, the club moved in 1997 to Samara's “Wings of the Soviets”, for which he played 7 matches in the Premier League. The exit of the Wings of the Soviets team to the semi-finals of the Russian Cup 1996/97 allowed the players of the Samara team to receive the honorary title Master of Sports .

Coaching

Since 2007, he worked as a coach at the Rusichi club.

In 2008 he graduated from the Higher School of Economics. In December 2010, he was appointed head coach of FC Rusichi [2] . The team began the 2012/13 season with the new name FC Orel. The beginning of the season was unsuccessful, the team scored only 2 points in the first 9 rounds and, after another defeat, on September 3, 2012, Luzyakin resigned.

The club was headed by Alexander Averyanov , and Igor Lusyakin remained in the team as a head coach.

Due to unsatisfactory results in the 2014/15 season, the head coach of FC Orel Igor Lusyakin was dismissed on December 15, 2014 [3] . He was replaced by Fedor Ivanovich Gagloev [4] . Luzyakin became an assistant to Fedor Ivanovich.
