Distribution

Eurasia, Africa; mainly in the deserts of the Palearctic. About 40 species are found in the Palearctic [2] .

Description

Small bees (3-5 mm) with a metallic green color of the chest and head; whitish-yellowish pattern on abdomen. Politrophs. Build earthen nests. Single species (except for Nomioides minutissimus , whose representatives can build communal or composite nests) [2] [3] .
