Career

Club

Rüdiger Abramczyk, whose younger brother Volker also played for Schalke 04 , came to Gelsenkirchen’s main team at the age of eight after being found by the scouts of the Knappen Bernhard Klodt . Friedel Rösch recommended the young Abramchik to the then Schalke 04 coach Ivica Horvath , feeling that the footballer could play at a high level.

At the beginning of the Bundesliga season 1973/74 , Schalke 04 went to the game with Stuttgart , where Ivica Horvath entrusted Rudiger with a place in the starting lineup. Then, on August 11, 1973, Schalke 04 lost 0-3, German Olikher scored a hat-trick, but Abramchik became the youngest player of the Bundesliga at that time. Going onto the field 14 times a season in the Bundesliga, Rüdiger Abramczyk became one of the key players at Schalke 04.

At the end of the 1979/80 season, Abramchik joined the main enemies of the “cobalt”. He stayed in the Dortmund Borussia until 1983, until he transferred to Nuremberg . After spending a season at Nuremberg, he went to Istanbul , to Galatasaray . After the Galatasaray, Abramchik went to the Second Bundesliga . And finally, after 2 years at Rot-Weiss , Rüdiger Abramchik returned to Schalke 04 in October 1987. In 1991, the striker ended his career.

Team

The Rhine Energy Stadium witnessed Abramchik’s debut in the national team on April 27, 1977, when the Germans, led by Helmut Schön, defeated the Northern Ireland national team 5-0.

For the national team of Germany, Abramchik played only 19 matches in the period from 1977 to 1979. The last match for the German national team played against the Malta national team , which ended with the score 0-0.

Coaching

Rüdiger Abramchik began his coaching career as an assistant to Peter Neururer at Saarbrücken . After that, he coached Antalyaspor , Levski from Sofia , Kernten, Karp, Müleim Karlich and Metallurg from Liepaja.
