Monument to the heroes of the October revolution and civil war

The monument was erected on April 29, 1975 in the park between the streets of Mingazhev , March 8 and the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution .

On a pedestal is a group of three figures. In the center of the sculptural group is the figure of a blacksmith worker who swung his rifle over his head like a hammer. To the right of the blacksmith is the figure of a Red Army soldier, to the left of the blacksmith is a horse-farmer. The composition also includes the figure of an elderly soldier leaning on a knee, holding a wounded heart with one hand and holding a weapon with the other. Three figures - a worker, a Red Army man and a peasant - protect him by themselves and rush forward.

The monument is made of bronze, has a total height of 12 m, the height of the figures is 9 m. The weight of the monument is 95 tons.

Authors of the monument: sculptor Kuznetsov L.V., architect Semenov A.V., design engineer Kotkin A.

Work on the creation of the monument was carried out for nine years. Sculptor Kuznetsova L.V. in 1978 was awarded the title of Laureate of the Republican Prize named after Salavat Yulaev .

The national name of the monument is “Five to seven.” This was due to the fact that at one time there was a grocery store opposite the sculpture, which closed at 19.00, and the figures resembled buyers who were eager to go shopping ^[1] .
