Ramgati ( Beng. রামগতি , English Ramgati ) - a city in the south of Bangladesh , the administrative center of the eponymous district . The area of the city is 71.64 km². According to the 2001 census, 56,455 people lived in the city, of which 51.98% were men and 48.02% were women, respectively. The population density was 788 people. on 1 km². The literacy rate was 27.4% (compared to Bangladeshan average of 43.1%).
